We work with fruit and veg growers right through the picking window—soft fruit in June and July, top fruit into autumn, salad crops on a rolling basis. A twin-axle farm fridge trailer gives you the overspill space to keep produce at temperature without turning customers away or watching good crop go to waste.
Farm shops call us when a walk-in goes down mid-trade or when a bank-holiday weekend’s forecast puts pressure on existing capacity. We’ve also supplied trailers for farm-gate events, harvest festivals and popup markets where there’s no fixed cold store on site.
Some growers book week-on-week through their main harvest. Others need a trailer for a fortnight to cover a repair or a particularly heavy flush. Both work—we price per job based on trailer size, how long you need it and where you are in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire or Sussex.
Which size trailer suits your farm
Single-axle trailers work well for farm shops topping up capacity or smaller growers handling salad, herbs or a few crates of soft fruit. A twin-axle gives you the floor space for pallet loads, stacked trays or when you’re picking flat-out and need serious volume.
Every trailer is a refrigerated chiller (we also run freezer trailers if you process or store frozen produce). Each one comes with trailer GPS tracking GPS as standard, plugs into 13 amp mains, and holds temperature reliably whether you’re in a barn, a packing shed or out in a yard.
If you’re working a site with no mains—an orchard packing station or a field gate during PYO—we can talk through small generator options to keep the trailer running.

How agricultural cold storage hire works for growers
We deliver the trailer to your farm and collect it when you’re done. You don’t need a tow vehicle or a 4×4—we bring it in, level it, plug it in, and you’re cold within the hour.
Most farm bookings run from a few days to several weeks. If you’re into a long picking season—asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants—we can schedule trailers week after week or block-book for the whole window. The earlier you call, the better, especially if your harvest coincides with wedding season in June, July and August when our fleet’s busiest.
Pricing is tailored: we look at trailer size, distance from our base near Norwich, and how long you need it for. You’ll get a clear quote up front. We take a deposit when you book and the balance on collection. Business customers can set up a 30-day invoice account if you’re likely to need farm shop fridge hire more than once.
