Chilled Down has expanded our refrigerated trailer hire service with a new Land Rover Discovery delivery vehicle based in Fundenhall, Norfolk. Named Dolly, this 4×4 will enable us to deliver and collect refrigerated trailers at off-road events, festivals and rural locations across East Anglia where standard tow vehicles can’t always reach.

Why we added Dolly to the refrigerated trailer hire fleet
Over the years we’ve been asked to deliver refrigerated trailers to some wonderful but challenging locations – farm fields hosting weddings, countryside festivals, rural farm shops and outdoor events miles from tarmac. Our standard delivery vehicles are reliable workhorses, but muddy tracks, steep gradients and soft ground can make access difficult, especially after rain.
The Land Rover Discovery gives us proper four-wheel-drive capability and the ground clearance to tow our chiller and freezer trailers confidently into places other vehicles struggle with. Based at our Fundenhall depot in Norfolk, Dolly will cover off-road and remote events right across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and the rest of East Anglia.
Where Dolly will be working
We expect Dolly to be busiest during the summer festival season and wedding season, when many of our clients are hosting events in marquees, orchards, barns and open fields. She’ll also support rural farm shops, outdoor markets and agricultural shows that need temporary cold storage in locations without vehicle access.
All our trailers come with GPS tracking and temperature monitoring, and that doesn’t change just because the venue is off the beaten track. Whether your event is in a Norwich park, a Suffolk meadow or a Cambridgeshire farmyard, we’ll get a fridge or freezer trailer to you and collect it when you’re done.
Delivery and collection across East Anglia
Delivery and collection are included with all our fridge trailer hire and freezer trailer hire. We don’t expect you to fetch the trailer yourself or worry about whether your vehicle can tow it. Now, with Dolly on the team, we can reach even more locations safely and on time.
